SLAM Origins

The three sources of Simple Lean Agile Management philosophy and method.

Agile, without fluff

The Agile Manifesto overhauled project management in 2001. RBR saw a need in the DoD to combine lean six sigma and agile with a few tweaks to achieve maximum output with minimum meetings and documentation. We found that agile had too much fluff. While SLAM has origins in Agile, we kept the tooth but chopped the tail so its less fluffy, more effective, more awesome.

Lean Six Sigma Efficiency

The RBR team has nearly 100 years of accumulated LSS experience ferreting out and solving quality and mission problems. SLAM draws on our LSS expertise, with simplified practices uniting teams on streamlined processes that work. Metrics and feedback drive a continuous improvement SLAM-team culture.

We may not cite DMAIC, SIPOC, or VOC specifically, but you'll recognize LSS techniques in SLAM.

Adaptability and creativity are calling cards for RBR. We get it done. However, to be adaptable, you must have a plan, alternatives, and back-up from trained, trusted peers. That doesn't happen by accident. SLAM succeeds due to continual team training, exceptional standards, and uniform conduct applied from previous experience with some of the best-run organizations in the world.

About SLAM

Let's be honest.

Many teams serving the DoD/IC can't pull together toward efficient, predictable, time-focused delivery. They lack cadence, common language, roles, and processes.  Slow, meandering results frustrate mission partners, leaders, and teams.

We're different.

SLAM Methodology synchronizes and harmonizes people, priorities, and production.  Simple Lean-Agile Management grew out of proven industry standards, tailored to DOD/IC teams.

Look around. Our goal is always a conversation.

SLAM by RBR can help address your mission challenges, and provide healthy, sustainable project teams, with unrivaled delivery clarity.
